New Forest High Mountain White 2224

This brush has exceptionally soft hair from a species of badger found only in remote areas of China at high altitude. It is a long finest silvertip that has had shorter and twisted hairs removed. This will appeal to shavers who like to lather creams in a bowl and paint their lather on in gentle too and from motions - pure luxury. And with a loft of 52mm it can also be used for face lathering. The alternative ivory handle has been shaped by hand tools on a lathe. The height is 45mm and diameter is 35mm. The bulb shaped knot is 22mm at the base.

The price of this brush is £48 - including worldwide delivery.

  1. Ordered mine :-)

Incredibly pleased that I've found this website. The reviews I've seen are convincing me that I've possibly made the best purchase of my shaving career!

Now, just praying that the Hungarian postal service don't take weeks to deliver

  2. Hi,
I missed the boat on the 2223 brush. Didn't get my money in enough time to order one. I liked the 2223 because it was kind of fan shaped - my favorite shape in a brush. Other than your 1901, which is fan shaped, and I intend to order soon, any other brush of yours have a fan shape? Any plans for one in the future? Love all your brushes, regardless of the shape. I'll keep my eyes open for a fan shaped one. Thanks for the great brushes and all the work you do for all of us.

    Take Care,

    Kenny

  3. Thanks Kenny. The 1901 is the only fan shape at present. I will add more fan shapes but I'm not rushing. I'm trying to keep the business small scale so I can continue to manage it myself - I must be one of the few businesses trying to avoid expansion!

  4. Arrived this morning. Looks beautiful.

Did a couple of test lathers and can't believe how much water this brush holds compared to my others. Blooms very nicely and feels very soft on the face whilst still having some firmness.

Excellent purchase and good service, thanks

  6. I'm a happy owner of a 2223. Really a fantastic brush. What would be the difference in shaving experience if I bought a 2224 ?

And next time you make a brush will you consider a bigger brush, say 24 mm ?

  7. This would depend on the exact loft of your 2223. The 2224 will feel larger on your face if your 2223 loft was between 45 to 47mm. The 52mm loft of the new 2224 brush makes it a comfortable size.

Until now we have stuck to the 22mm knot with our High Mountain grade. Larger knots will be introduced as we gradually increase the range of brushes.

  8. This brush, and a Tubby 1 Alpolina, will be in my next order. I received my 1901 Super Badger Two Band, and my New Forest Tubby 2 last week in the mail. Wow! They're wonderful. Super soft tips and incredible backbone all in one, on both brushes. As soft as my softest Super Silvertips that I had previously thought were the best brushes possible. Not so, I'm afraid. Your brushes beat the pants off of those. I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad you do. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to my next order.

    Thanks,

    Kenny

  10. I have used this brush for the past week and I must write and state what a good product it is . I have quite a few brushes and this brush outperforms some of my brushes costing four times as much . It has a nice exfoliating effect and leaves my skin with a nice clean feeling. Keep up the good work peter.
