  1. Hello Fido,
is it possible to remove the golden stickers from your new brushes? Being very honest I have to say that I don't like these stickers too much. They make your brushes look like cheap Simpsons copies. A little engraving would fit your brushes much better imho.

    Best Regards

  2. The brushes can be supplied without the label. This is the best value way of identifying the brush and it enables the price to be kept as low as possible. Some people love it, some people don't!

  3. Hi Fido,
Can you please advise if your brushes are / will be available in a "travel" version, similar to the ones proposed by Vulfix or Simpsons?
    e.g. using a "screw-on" brush?

  4. No screw on brushes are likely. I will be making some small fan shape two band brushes which could be put into a tubular screw lid container.

  7. Fido,

I'm having some technical problems with my paypal account. Would it be possible to send a cheque for £36.00 for a 2213, and you send the brush when the funds have cleared your acount?

  9. Had my third shave this morning with my new 2213 and am really enjoying it. Nice soft tips and just enough backbone. Out of curiosity, what is the main difference between the 2213 & a tubby?

  10. Depends which Tubby and type of hair. The Tubby 1 Finest Silvertip is similar to the 2213 - a 24mm knot compared with 22mm. The Two band version has more backbone than than the 2213. The Tubby 2 is a bigger brush with a knot of 26mm - only available in Two Band. It has firm backbone and soft tips.

  11. I totally agree with Gary, is a wonderful small brush, very pleasant for facelathering because of exactly he said: soft tips with some backbone.

I'm very satisfied with mine, thanks Fido!

  13. I had my first shave with my brand new 2213. I must say I am astonished. I thought I was shaving with a brush over the years and today found out that I was kiding myself. Thank you Fido.

  14. How will this cope with hard soaps bowl lathered?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Just fine. Some people prefer two band brushes for hard soaps but silvertips perform very well with them too.

  16. What do you recommend doing when first receiving the brush? i.e. washing it

    1. Just rinse and do a couple of trial lathers, rinse and go!

  17. Is this brush good for face and bowl lathering?

    1. Yes. But our two bands are great all rounders too. If you face lather more than bowl lather they would be your better choice.
